**Job Summary:**
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Veterinarian Technician to join our busy 5-doctor practice team. The Veterinarian Technician will play a crucial role in providing top-notch medical care to a variety of animals. Responsibilities include assisting in medical procedures, handling diagnostic tests, administering treatments, and offering guidance to pet owners on proper animal health management.
**Qualifications:**
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience as a Veterinarian Technician
- In-depth knowledge of animal anatomy, physiology, and pharmacology
- Proficiency in performing laboratory procedures and conducting diagnostic tests
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to empathize with both animals and pet owners
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Certification in CPR and anesthesia monitoring is a plus
**Responsibilities:**
- Collaborate with veterinarians to conduct examinations and surgeries
- Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
- Perform laboratory tests including blood work, X-rays, and ultrasound scans
- Administer medications, vaccinations, and IV fluids
- Educate clients on preventive care, nutrition, and medication administration
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Monitor the well-being of animals during hospitalization and recovery
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and sanitation standards in the clinic
**Additional Requirements:**
- Availability to work during the week, weekends and holidays. We are open 7 days a week!
- Physical ability to lift and handle animals of various sizes
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems and veterinary software
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
