Birch Healthcare Center is seeking a passionate and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) who will also serve as our Infection Preventionist (IP). This is an exciting full-time leadership opportunity to help guide our clinical team, ensure regulatory compliance, and uphold the highest standards of resident care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Director of Nursing in overseeing daily clinical operations and staff management
- Serve as the facility’s Infection Preventionist—monitoring infection control practices and ensuring compliance with all state and federal guidelines
- Educate staff on infection prevention policies and procedures
- Participate in quality assurance, audits, and performance improvement initiatives
- Support onboarding, mentoring, and evaluation of nursing staff
- Act as a key liaison between nursing staff, administration, and other departments
Qualifications:
- Current RN license in the state of New Hampshire
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience; leadership experience preferred
- Knowledge of infection prevention principles and CDC guidelines (IP certification a plus)
- Strong organizational, teaching, and communication skills
- Ability to motivate and support nursing staff in a team-oriented environment
