Job Title: Physical Therapist – School-Based

Location: Westland, MI

Schedule: Full-Time (on-site)

Pay Rate: $40.00-$45.00 P/hour

Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to support students across several schools within the Westland, MI area. This is a school-based position serving a diverse student population from early childhood through middle school, with some homebound services included (Mileage Reimbursement). The PT will work with school administration to build a consistent and manageable weekly schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver direct physical therapy services in accordance with IEP/IFSP goals
• Monitor progress and maintain accurate records and documentation
• Collaborate with teachers, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and school psychologists
• Participate in IEP and multidisciplinary team meetings
• Educate school staff and families on mobility, positioning, and physical accessibility supports
• Adapt therapy plans to suit various environments including classrooms, playgrounds, and home settings (for homebound students)
  
  

Qualifications

• Current Michigan Physical Therapy License
• Previous experience in pediatrics or school-based settings preferred
• Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
• Ability to work with students of varying physical abilities and developmental levels
