Description:
Birch Agency is seeking an ICU Register Nurse to join our team.
The ICU Registered Nurse provides specialized, critical care nursing to patients with life-threatening conditions. The RN monitors patient status, administers medications and treatments, operates advanced medical equipment, and collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for critically ill patients.
Monitor patients vital signs, neurological status, and hemodynamic stability.
Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other treatments as prescribed.
Operate and monitor critical care equipment such as ventilators, cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, and dialysis machines.
Respond rapidly to changes in patient condition and initiate emergency interventions when necessary.
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation in the electronic health record (EHR).
Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and recovery processes.
Ensure adherence to infection control and patient safety protocols.
Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and contribute to care planning.
Support and mentor junior nursing staff when needed.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in nursing BSN).
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
