BIP is currently expanding its footprint in the United States, focusing on growing its Capital Markets and Financial Services lines. About the Role:

One of investment banking client partners is expanding its enterprise-level AI platform and requires Senior Python Engineers with deep expertise in building high-performance, secure, and scalable APIs. These engineers will strengthen the platform’s core foundation, increase throughput and reliability, and enable cross-business unit adoption at scale. This role focuses on platform hardening, infrastructure integration, and backend engineering excellence.

You must have valid US work authorization and must physically reside around the posted city, within a 50-mile commute. We are unable to support relocation costs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architect, build, and optimize Python-based APIs that support extremely high concurrency across global business units.
• Implement performance enhancements including caching layers, retry logic, batching, vectorization, and parallel processing.
• Integrate APIs across hybrid infrastructure (on-prem, Azure, OpenAI environments).
• Improve scalability, reliability, and response times for enterprise AI workloads.
• Implement and maintain enterprise-grade security, permissioning, and audit controls.
• Enhance observability using metrics, logging, and distributed tracing.
• Partner with AI and platform teams to support model integrations and downstream consumption.
• Ensure all engineering work adheres to client’s security, SDLC, and IP ownership standards.

Required Qualifications:

• 8 years of backend development experience with Python (Flask/FastAPI/Django).
• Strong background in API design, high-performance computing, and distributed systems.
• Expertise with multithreading/multiprocessing, asynchronous frameworks, and performance tuning.
• Experience integrating with cloud services (Azure preferred) and on-prem compute.
• Strong understanding of authentication/authorization (OAuth2, JWT, RBAC).
• Proven experience handling large datasets, vector operations, or heavy data movement.
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.

**The base salary range for this role is $120,000 - $200,000**
