Engagement Overview:
Our Client is launching a strategic initiative to accelerate its FinTech and Payments growth in the US market. We are seeking a senior-level FinTech Commercial Lead with deep payments expertise and a strong consulting mindset who can drive both strategy and hands-on execution.
The selected professional will be embedded within the Client’s US-based FinTech Commercial team, working closely with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery. The engagement is sponsored by the Head of North America FinTech Commercial, providing direct executive alignment, visibility, and decision-making support.
Project Objectives:
This role is focused on delivering measurable commercial impact by:
- Designing and executing the US FinTech and Payments strategy, including market sizing, opportunity assessment, and go-to-market execution.
- Driving revenue growth and cost optimization through improved payment acceptance, fraud and chargeback optimization, and commercial deal structuring.
- Building and expanding strategic partnerships across the payments and FinTech ecosystem.
- Ensuring cross-functional execution across Product, Legal, Operations, Fraud, Treasury, and related teams.
- Creating value beyond core payments, leveraging partnerships across marketing, sponsorships, distribution, and data insights.
- Providing clear executive communication, translating complex payments initiatives into actionable, leadership-ready insights.
Key Responsibilities:
FinTech & Payments Strategy:
- Support development and execution of the Client’s US FinTech and Payments go-to-market strategy
- Translate strategic priorities into actionable execution roadmaps
Commercial Impact & Optimization:
- Identify, structure, and deliver initiatives that unlock incremental revenue and cost savings
- Optimize payment acceptance, fraud, and chargeback processes
- Support negotiation and execution of strategic commercial deals
Strategic Partnerships:
- Lead identification, negotiation, and management of key FinTech and payments partners
- Drive value creation across the Client’s partner ecosystem
Cross-Functional Leadership:
- Facilitate alignment across Product, Legal, Operations, Fraud, Treasury, and other stakeholders
- Act as a central point of coordination to ensure timely and effective execution
Executive Communication:
- Prepare executive-ready summaries, business cases, and performance updates
- Present complex payments concepts in clear, concise, and visually compelling formats
Required Skills:
We are seeking professionals who bring:
- 6 years of experience in payments, FinTech strategy, commercial partnerships, or business development
- Proven success delivering complex initiatives from concept through execution
- Strong analytical and strategic planning capabilities with a commercial, P&L-focused mindset
- Demonstrated ability to manage senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional initiatives
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, particularly at the executive level
- Experience in the US payments market strongly preferred
- A passion for innovation and value creation beyond core payments
**The base salary range for this role is $110,000 - $160,000**
