What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wealth Management Client Relationship Manager position at BIP Wealth?
CLIENT RELATIONSHIP MANAGER
Practice Partner • Client Advocate • Operations Leader
THE OPPORTUNITY
Many firms say they can manage your wealth. Few can create it. At BIP, we endeavor to do both.
While other firms focus on selling, we're relentlessly focused on the science of investing. We are a Wealth Creation Engine - propelled by a unique blend of science-based investment methodologies, a focus on technology innovation, and a deep commitment to openness and transparency. The BIP Wealth Creation Engine seeks to deliver smarter, more insightful strategies for the complex needs of our clients, and a more engaging, dynamic and rewarding client experience overall.
POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Relationship Manager (“RM”) is a member of our growing Columbus GA team in one of the Southeast’s leading wealth management firms. You will manage the front office, acting as the first contact for clients, and will partner with one other RM to support advisors and help ensure delivery of an exceptional client experience to high-net-worth families. You’ll support the client experience end-to-end: anticipating needs, resolving complexity, and driving outcomes that deepen client relationships and grow the business. If you thrive in a fast-paced, intellectually demanding environment where your judgment and initiative matter, this role was built for you.
Our Relationship Managers are central to our mission. This is not a support role in the traditional sense: you are a partner to the Columbus advisory team and the connective tissue between our advisors and the high-net-worth families who trust us with their financial futures.
WHAT YOU WILL OWN
Client Experience & Relationship Development
- Partner with and support a fellow Relationship Manager to best serve clients, building trusted relationships that complement and extend the advisor practices
- Own the full client onboarding experience—from first contact through platform adoption—anchoring a standard of care where every client feels welcomed, informed, and confident
- Proactively identify meaningful touchpoint opportunities (life events, milestone dates) and bring them to the advisor’s attention with context and recommendations
- Field and resolve client inquiries with accuracy and urgency, escalating strategically when needed
- Identify wallet share and referral opportunities through ongoing client engagement, presenting qualified leads to advisors
Practice Strategy & Advisor Partnership
- Function as a strategic partner to advisors—anticipating practice needs, flagging risks, and actively contributing to the health and growth of each practice
- Maintain real-time visibility into cash positions, billing cycles, and account activity across custodial platforms including Fidelity, Schwab, and Inspira
- Prepare advisors for client meetings with thorough briefing materials, account summaries, and relevant client context
- Facilitate private market investment processes from document preparation through execution—one of BIP’s most differentiated service offerings
- Coordinate seamlessly with CPAs, estate attorneys, and other professionals to implement advisor recommendations on behalf of clients
- Provide general administrative assistance to advisory team
Operations & Process Excellence
- General reception and office administration duties
- Execute custodian paperwork and money movement requests with precision and speed, maintaining a zero-NIGO standard through strong custodian relationships
- Serve as a data steward—maintaining clean, current records in SharePoint and BIOS, BIP’s proprietary CRM
- Identify inefficiencies and champion process improvements; develop tools and templates that scale the practice’s capacity without sacrificing quality
- Support client events and firm initiatives as a visible, engaged representative of the BIP brand
WHO YOU ARE
- A client-first professional who reads the room, communicates with clarity, and earns trust quickly
- A resourceful problem-solver who anticipates friction before it surfaces and takes ownership without being asked
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, capable of managing competing priorities across multiple advisor practices without dropping a thread
- Emotionally intelligent and composed under pressure—you bring calm to complexity
- A collaborative team member who enjoys working in an office environment and measures success by the outcomes of the advisors you support and the clients you serve
- Experienced in financial services (4 years preferred) with a working command of Microsoft Office, Adobe, and e-signature platforms
- Familiar with Fidelity, Schwab, and/or Inspira Financial advisor interfaces—or eager to master them quickly
- A college degree is preferred; a track record of exceptional client outcomes speaks equally loudly
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
- Competitive base salary commensurate with experience
- Revenue sharing for client referrals you generate
- Comprehensive benefits package
- Flexible PTO policy
