QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven work experience as a Truck Driver (1 to 2 years)
• Experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, ELD logs)
• Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly (occasional extended trips outside of local area are possible)
• Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
• No recent moving or driving violations
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions)
• Valid truck driving license (A-Combination with GCWR > 20,000, N-Tank Vehicle, T-Doubles/Triples)
• Must Pass a Pre-employment Drug Test (*Driving Record will be reviewed. Random drug testing throughout employment is required.)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• BioWest Ag Solutions is seeking an experienced Truck Driver to transport finished goods and raw materials to and from manufacturing plants and distribution centers in a safe and timely manner.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues before and after loading paying attention to air lines and jack positions and adjusting them as necessary.
• Follow and maintain loading protocols, using chains and binders to secure cargo, and rechecking their stability throughout trips.
• Communicate with supervisors as to driving schedules and timely deliveries.
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
• Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel receipts
• Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route descriptions, parking and break periods) as well as comply with company policies and procedures.
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
• Collect and verify delivery instructions.
• Report defects, accidents, or violations.
