BIOTRONIK is looking to add a Regional Sales Director (RSD) in the Midwest. In this role you will be responsible for management and leadership of the Sales Representatives and Technical Service Representatives in the Midwest Sales Region. As the RSD you will plan, organize, direct and control assigned territory pacemaker and ICD sales activities to accomplish agreed-upon, long-term strategic goals and the business plan which will include the development of an effective direct and independent sales force to achieve the forecasted market share and revenue growth per year. RSD's provide assistance in development of new local, regional and national accounts and in maintenance of current accounts. In addition, you will be responsible for the management and implementation of company policies.

Your Responsibilities
- Develop and establish long-term strategic and annual goals for pacemaker and ICD sales in the United States; prepare quarterly forecasts and operating expense estimates.
- Responsible for attaining forecasted unit and revenue sales while controlling expenses to budget.
- Works regularly in the field with Sales Representatives to establish strong relationships to key physicians, ensure competency and success.
- Executes sales plans and ensures participation and compliance on the part of all members of the sales team.
- Develop and review sales and staffing plans to attain CRM sales goals within assigned territory.
- Develop, train and mentor sales and clinical employees within BIOTRONIK, Inc., review and appraise performance and provide for succession planning.
- Recruit, engage and retain talent. Responsible for the hiring and management of Sales Representatives and Clinical Specialists within a specified region.
- Seeks solutions to problems, recommends strategies to increase sales and analyze BIOTRONIK’s market position.
- Effectively control and monitor selling expenses for the assigned territory.
- Maintain close communications with the sales force, providing market analysis, strategies, product mix required, competitor information, sales training, product information, educational publications, and introduction of new products.
- Manage accounts through government contracts, group hospital purchasing agencies, and university centers which are primarily using investigational devices, approve discounts and conditions of sales when those differ from regularly applied policies.
- Monitor trends and developments to implement additional sales in new market areas and provide input for new product introduction.
- Maintain a high level of cooperation and support by interfacing with BIOTRONIK's other departments.
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum of 5 years prior experience in Sales Management.
- Prior experience in medical industry required. Prior experience in cardiac rhythm management preferred.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with all levels of the Company.
- Excellent leadership and motivational skills.
- Complete and thorough knowledge of BIOTRONIK’s and competitor’s products.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism in work ethic, customer service and demeanor.
- Available/willing to work/travel weekends and evenings.
- This position requires on-call time.
- Frequent 2-handed lifting of up to 40 lbs. from floor to chair/table and from one to another surface at approximately the same level.
- Sitting, standing and/or walking for up to eight plus hours per day.
- Environmental exposures include eye protection, infectious disease and radiation.
- Frequently required to use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls.
- Ability to effectively use a mobile phone, PC, keyboard and mouse.
- Frequent bending/stooping, squatting and balance.
- Ability to travel extensively with ease.
- Must be able to drive or fly approximately 80% of the time within assigned region.
- Environmental exposure to infectious disease and radiation.
- Must have a valid driver's license and active vehicle insurance policy.
