This position is for mid-shift Mon-Fri 7a-3:30p This position is responsible for ensuring products are manufactured in accordance with FDA regulatory requirements as well as company procedures and policies
Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Working on new product formulation development and pricing.
- Supporting product design by creating lab scale batches and coordinating sample manufacturing with the production/packaging departments.
- Coordinating the establishment of new product procedures for assessing raw materials, in-process and bulk finished products.
- Creating new product labels and ensuring labels are assigned the necessary warnings in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Supporting Label Control Personnel with label related questions/issues and assisting with label review and approval.
- Learning the manufacturing processes and assisting with formulation adjustments to improve manufacturing efficiency.
- Reviewing ingredient changes/substitutions, to ensure ingredients comply with established standards for potency and product safety.
- Researching new ingredients for safety and efficacy and supporting the establishment of ingredient testing specifications.
- Working with flavor houses to design desired flavor profiles.
- Supporting the Quality Department with special projects.
- Effectively working, interacting and communicating with co-workers and lead/supervisor.
- Demonstrating professional behavior while working in a team approach when managing challenging situations
- Assisting in providing a safe, secure and comfortable environment for all staff
- Performs other duties as assigned
Work Requirements and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Science.
- 2 or more years of experience required
- Must have a good comprehension of USA and foreign label laws
- Must have strong knowledge of GMP regulations as applicable to dietary supplements
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English to perform necessary duties
- Ability to multi-task and take initiative without direct supervision
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Competency in basic computer skills including MS Office applications: Word and Excel
- Demonstrates flexibility when re-prioritization is necessary
- Must be detail-oriented with good organization skills
- Must be able to work overtime when the company deems it necessary
