Phlebotomist

Experienced Phlebotomy Position with Biotech Clinical Laboratories

Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:00 am- 5:00 pm

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Conducts specimen collection, sometimes directly observed.
• Willing to float to different office locations when specified by supervisor
• Gathers, verifies and enters patient data, confirms written and EMR orders by utilizing lab technology.
• Ability to work independently
• MUST display customer focus, communicate with patients, management and peers.
• MUST have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license. Willing to help at other locations if supervisor deems necessary to cover all Biotech’s clients when short staffed. Willing to embrace change to help the business prosper.
• Process specimens timely for transportation.
• Maintains cleanliness of the collection area.
• Assists the client services team in correcting discrepancies.
• Follows company policies, guidelines and compliance requirements.
• Meets continuous process improvement and/or standardization initiatives.

Education, Experience and Training

• High School diploma or equivalent, required.
• Must have 1 years of experience required.
• Minimum one year experience working in a healthcare practice setting, preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of related organizational policies to administer patient care.
• Working knowledge of computers, especially word, excel and medical software.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
