Summary
The Senior Project Manager will provide strategic and tactical leadership, drive process improvements, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve organizational goals. This includes establishing, implementing, developing, and managing best practices for project management throughout the organization.
Essential Functions
- Collaborate with executive leadership to prioritize and align projects with overall business strategy.
- Skill in building and leading high-performing project management teams.
- Lead process adoption for project managers, program managers, and other project-related roles.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the project teams.
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of projects and programs.
- Ensure that project and program goals are achieved, and outcomes meet or exceed stakeholders' expectations.
- Methodology Proficiency: Strong familiarity with various project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and the ability to choose the right approach based on project requirements.
- Manage and allocate resources effectively to support multiple projects and programs concurrently.
- Optimize resource utilization and workload distribution.
- Develop and implement risk management strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
- Ensure that projects are delivered with a focus on quality and compliance.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates and reports on project and program status to executive leadership.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in project and program delivery.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business, or a related field. Master’s degree or relevant certifications (PMP, PgMP, etc.) preferred.
- 8- 10 years of experience in project and program management, with a track record of successfully leading large-scale initiatives.
- Proven experience managing and developing high-performing project plans.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Agile and/or Waterfall experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
- Collaboration: Works effectively with cross-functional teams and departments.
- Relationship Building: Establishes strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Change Management: Ability to lead teams through change and adapt project management processes to evolving organizational needs.
- Flexibility: Adapts to unexpected changes in project scope or requirements
- Budget Management: Skilled in managing project budgets and ensuring financial objectives are met.
