PRN Paramedic – Clinical Research Unit

A leading U.S.-based clinical research organisation is seeking a PRN Paramedic to support the conduct of clinical trials within a fast-paced clinical research environment. The organisation operates multiple research sites across the United States and specialises in early and late-stage clinical studies across a broad range of therapeutic areas.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated PRN Paramedic to support clinical trial activities within an inpatient and outpatient research setting. This position plays a key role in ensuring the safe and accurate execution of study procedures in accordance with protocol requirements and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispense and collect investigational products and medications as directed by written orders

• Perform clinical research procedures including vital signs, blood collection and processing, ECGs, and point-of-care testing

• Conduct venipuncture and support biological sample handling and processing

• Prepare specimen tubes and labels, operate centrifuges, and manage specimen storage and shipment

• Maintain accurate documentation within subject charts and study records

• Ensure biological specimens are disposed of appropriately and safely

• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment

• Follow all applicable SOPs, site procedures, and regulatory guidelines

Requirements

• Current Paramedic certification in the applicable state

• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience

• CPR certification

• Strong understanding of medical terminology

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Experience

• Experience working within clinical research or regulated healthcare environments

• Knowledge of protocol and regulatory compliance requirements

• Strong venipuncture, ECG, centrifugation, and sample handling experience

• High attention to detail and strong documentation practices
