BASIC MACHINE OPERATOR

A nonexempt position responsible for completing x-rays on patients. 

1. Operating C-arm during surgeries and fluoroscopic procedures
2. X-Ray patients during clinic visits
3. Review schedule and reconcile acquisition of appropriate imaging for all patients
4. Successfully inputting appropriate billing codes within EHR
5. Filtering tasks. Completing or reassigning as necessary
6. Reviewing schedule for the following week
7. Assisting within the office as needed 
8. Traveling to all other locations when needed
9. Assisting in clinic as needed
10. Communicates with other team members in clinical and clerical areas to provide a successful patient centered practice.
11. Other duties as assigned.

NTIAs may be assigned.

1. High School diploma, GED or equivalent
2. BLS Certificate 
3. Certified BMO (preferred)
4. Current License in the state of Florida
5. Experience as an EMT or Medical Assistant (preferred)

1. 1 year of relevant call center or medical experience preferred.
2. 1-2 years of customer service required.
3. 1 year of medical terminology preferred.
4. Ability to problem solve as well as critical thinking.
5. Proficient in professional and effective communication skills
6. Demonstrate a strong attention to detail and thoroughness.
7. Effectively utilize available relevant technical tools and resources (e.g. Microsoft, Outlook)

1. Knowledge of medical terminology.
2. Knowledge of the health care field.
3. Knowledge of legal and ethical considerations related to patient information.
4. Knowledge of counseling, conflict resolution, and customer service principles and applications.
5. Knowledge of Insurance and/or experience with verification of insurance eligibility

1. Skill in putting information in preferred medical record system, meeting clinic standards.
2. Skill in diffusing tense situations through diplomatic problem-solving.
3. Skill in using computer and medical records software.
4. Skill in reading and following written and oral medical order.
5. Skill in handling several tasks simultaneously.
6. Skill intact and diplomacy in interpersonal interactions.

9. Ability and willingness to travel between offices on occasion is required.

Standing six to eight hours per day walking, stooping, bending, and maneuvering. Occasional stress from dealing with many staff and patients. May require lifting to 50 pounds to transfer and or assist a patient in standing on the scale or sitting on the exam table.
