Responsibilities
- Partner withkeystakeholders to understand specific business processes andobjectives, supporting short and long-term strategic planning, solution discovery, andprocurement needs.
- Leadand refineprocurement processes in collaboration with finance,procurement partners,and other key stakeholders,ensuring purchasing activities flow cleanly and support budgetary tracking and reporting.
- Establish and define processes toensure financial data isaccurateacross workbooks.
- Managethe departmentalbudgetand projectspend,partnering closely withfunctionalleadersandportfolio managementpartners to ensureweaccurately plan andconsistently executeagainst financial targets.
- Collaborate withportfolioand projectmanagement partners toalign project managementprocessesto financial forecasting and reporting requirements.
- Partner withcorporatefinancetodriveoperational excellence and standards for monthlyand quarterlyforecastsandLBEs (Latest Best Estimates).
- SupportannualCapital Plan,andLong-Range Planning (LRP)activities, ensuringfundingrequests clearly supportour definedstrategicobjectives.
- Developreporting forleadership and key stakeholderstoenable effectivefinancial governance andtransparent communications.
- Meetmonthlywith cross-functional partnersto reviewactive projectsand proactivelymanage change orders, renewaltimelines, andplanned expenditurestoensuremaximum transparency and alignmentand drive effectiveforecasting.
- Maintaincompliance with all applicable AbbVie Corporate (e.g., Finance,Purchasing, OEC, Legal),andIT departmentpolicies and procedures.
- Bachelor's Degree ina business or financial fieldand6years experienceOR Master's Degree and5years experienceOR PhD and0 years experience.
- Respectiveyears of demonstrated experience incorporatefinancialmanagementincluding budgeting, forecasting, andcontracting/procurement support.
- Provenexperience inbudgetmanagementand forecasting for complex, multi-faceted organizations.
- Experienceoperatingwithincomplex procurement processes to drive efficient purchasing and clear alignment with budgetary requirements.
- Proven ability toestablishand maintain high-quality relationships with all levels across the company and with external partners.
- Ability to design impactful financial reporting for both technical and non-technicalcustomersincluding executive audiences.
- Experience working with enterprise financial systems andtools such as SAP.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Demonstrated ability to articulate and negotiate projects and priorities across functions and/or organizations, proven experience in situations of conflict resolution, problemsolving,and crisis management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly and concisely present financial information to a variety of audiences, includingexecutiveleadership and stakeholders.
- Sound business judgment, proven ability to influence without authority, and stronganalytical thinking skills are critical to success in this position.
- The ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, solve problems, scope financial requirements, and prioritize.
- Experiencemodernizing and automating departmental budget andfinancial managementprocesses.
- Understanding ofIT or Information Security concepts, terminology, and operations.
- Experience supportingbusiness orfinancial operations for an IT or Information Security department.
- Experience with technical writing and process documentation.
- Experience working withglobally distributedstakeholders and customers.
