In This Role You Willbe Responsible For

• Consultingwith scientific partners to develop understanding of the varied and complex business needs supported by the systems. Responsible fordetermininghow changing business needs will affect the system.Understands the role of the system in the big picture and provides ideas and recommendationsregardingthe evolution of the system.
• Developingdetailed business user requirements, system documentation, workflow procedures, and data modeling.Negotiatesplans, timeframesand trade-offs while ensuring scientific partners understand thefinal resultsof the project.
• Ensuringcurrent andaccuratesystem documentation, coordinates and/or performs testing of system modifications, of both validated and non-validated systems.Provides systemsexpertiseand supports system training, educationaltoolsand materials.
• Uses AbbVie values around ethics, diversity & inclusion, enterpriseperspectiveand innovation to govern decisions,actionsand behaviors.
  
  
  

Tools And Skills You Will Use In This Role

• Excellent interpersonal skills and well-developed verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to effectivelyleadandfacilitatemeetings with customers and technical team members.
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Information Systems or a related field with 5 years of experience, or a Masters degree with 4 years of experience
• Must be deliverables focused and detail oriented.
• Mustexhibitexceptional teamwork skills.
• Must have a strong customer focus.
  
  
  

Preferred

• Background inscientificinformatics(LIMS, SDMS, CDS, etc.)and lab operations.
• Work experience in pharmaceutical industry within R&D organization.
• Work experience in a laboratory IT role.
• Experience in the development, implementation, and operations of a large-scale,enterprisesystems.
