Salary Range (annually)
$88,300.00 - $168,500.00
As a Senior Automation Infrastructure Engineer, a typical day might include the following:
- Supervising and maintaining the following automation systems:
- Supervisory Control and data acquisition systems
- Site Historian Systems
- Advanced Analytical applications
- Asset management systems
- Thin Client Server systems
- Windows and Linux Server Operating systems
- Process Area Networks
- SQL Databases
- Virtualization environments
- Supporting the validation of automation systems with QA Validation.
- Providing coordination of infrastructure projects between automation, systems, facilities, IT, and QA
- Providing automation technical knowledge for troubleshooting, investigations and training.
- Providing automation system application support including installation and rebuilds.
- Providing system design for data integrity, stability and interface between different systems.
- Ensuring effective maintenance and availability of automation equipment.
- Leading the technical optimization and compliance of automation systems.
- Creating, modifying, and maintaining automation system documentation and SOPs in a compliant state.
- Working with plant automation technicians and engineers.
- Have networking experience, specifically with Cisco switches and firewalls
- Are experienced with the setup and management of high security environments
- Are experienced in the design, configuration, programming, and qualification of OT infrastructure and applications
- Senior Engineer: 5 years
- Principal Engineer: 8 years
