Obesity represents one of the most pressing global health challenges of our time. To accelerate our impact, we are seeking an Executive Director to lead Global Obesity Analytics and Forecasting.This role will serve as the enterprise leader for both US commercial and Global pipeline analytics and forecasting, partnering closely with senior executives across Global, U.S., and regional teams. The Executive Director will elevate data-driven decision-making by delivering rigorous performance analytics, advanced analytics, and forward-looking forecasts that guide strategy, investment, and execution across the obesity portfolio.
This role requires on-site attendance at least 3 days per week in Thousand Oaks, California.
Responsibilities Include
Strategic Leadership
Serve as the analytics and forecasting leader for the Obesity therapeutic area, supporting Global Commercial, U.S., and R&D leadership
Translate analytics and forecasts into clear, actionable recommendations that shape portfolio strategy, brand plans, and investment decisions for CEO staff
Anticipate market evolution, competitive dynamics, and policy changes through scenario planning and forward-looking analytics
Establish analytics and forecasting as core strategic enablers across all stages of the product lifecycle, from early pipeline to in-line brands
Analytics (Performance & Advanced Analytics)
Lead global and U.S. performance analytics, including brand performance, patient dynamics, demand drivers, and executional effectiveness
Oversee advanced analytics capabilities, including predictive modeling, segmentation, simulation, and scenario-based decision support
Integrate diverse data sources (e.g., real-world data, claims, digital, promotional, financial) to deliver holistic, decision-ready insights
Drive development of subnational and longitudinal analytics to support targeting, resource allocation, and optimization decisions
Establish clear analytics standards, methodologies, and governance to ensure consistency, rigor, and scalability across regions
Forecasting (U.S., Global, and Pipeline)
Direct long-range, mid-range, and short-term forecasting for the obesity portfolio, spanning pipeline, launch, and in-line products
Own Global, U.S., and regional forecast alignment, ensuring consistent assumptions, methodologies, and scenarios across geographies
Lead pipeline and lifecycle forecasting, supporting portfolio prioritization, business development evaluation, and R&D investment decisions
Ensure forecasts are tightly integrated into financial planning, capacity planning, and enterprise decision-making
Proactively identify risks and opportunities through scenario planning, sensitivity analyses, and competitive simulations
Cross-Functional & Global Collaboration
Partner closely with Commercial, R&D, Medical, Finance, Market Access, and Operations to inform strategy and execution
Serve as a trusted thought partner to senior leaders, shaping executive and board-level discussions through data-driven storytelling
Drive accountability by embedding analytics and forecasts into business planning, performance management, and strategic reviews
Enable seamless collaboration across Global, U.S., and regional teams
People Leadership
Build and lead high-performing global teams across analytics and forecasting, fostering deep expertise and innovation

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is $275,764 to 373,092. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications. Basic Qualifications
- Doctorate degree & 6 years of analytics/forecasting experience OR
- Masters degree & 10 years of analytics/forecasting experience OR
- Bachelors degree & 12 years of analytics/forecasting experience AND
- 6 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources
- Advanced degree (MBA, MS, PhD preferred) in business, life sciences, economics, statistics, data science, or a related field
- 12 years of experience in analytics and/or forecasting, with at least 5 years in senior or executive leadership roles
- Biopharmaceutical industry experience, ideally in metabolic disease, obesity, or adjacent therapeutic areas
- Expertise in U.S., Global, and pipeline forecasting, including launch and lifecycle management
- Background in performance analytics and advanced analytics applied to commercial and portfolio decision-making
- Ability to influence senior leaders in a highly matrixed, global organization
- Executive communication skills, with the ability to translate complex analyses into compelling strategic narratives
- Adaptability and comfort operating in a fast-moving, competitive, and evolving therapeutic landscape
