Primary Function / Primary Goals / Objectives:

This role will supporttheMHIOrganizationin R&Dwhich consists ofTherapeutic Area Business Units, Value & Evidence, International MHI,Medical Engagement, and Global Strategic Operations.Associate Directorwillenablestrategic planning and execution of both current and long-termMHIgoals. This positionis responsible forfinancial planning and analysis related to Plan, Update,LBEand LRPas well assupport of strategic initiatives.TheMHIannualbudgetexceeds $700MM.

Major Responsibilities

• Responsible for leading all planning cycles (Plan/Update, LRP and LBE) including meaningful commentary and analysis.Responsible for executive summaries and presentations to senior management/ VPs
• Responsible for ensuring monthly financial results are delivered accurately andtimelyand executive summaries with commentary are prepared and delivered to the senior management/VPs
• Day to day strategic Finance partner to5of the MHI Senior Leadership Team VPs
• Liaison among business, Alliance Accountingand R&D Finance Business DevelopmentrepresentingMedical and HEOR in Collaborations, includingparticipation in governance meetings and reporting/LBE/Plan/LRP for MHIportionof collaborations
• Participates in and provides financial analyses for various business initiatives that lend insight into key business drivers enabling management to adapt moreappropriate tactics/strategyto meet the LRP objectives
• Assistswith all financial aspects of key functional projectsandsystems initiatives to ensure finance requirements are implemented appropriately and process efficiencies are realized
• Manages a staff of 1 person
  
  
  

Qualifications

Qualifications

• BA in Accounting or Finance. CPA orMBAa plus.
• 10 years of progressive Accounting or Finance experience.
• Strongfinancial, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communicationskills (oral and written) and ability to influence without direct authority.
• Strongproject management skills, whichincludesleadership in organizing,planning,and executing projects frominceptiontoimplementation.
• Self-starter with ability tooperateindependently,identifyand implement process improvements,and adjust priorities to achieveobjectivesandoperatewith speed and agility.
• Abilitytowork in a matrix organization, buildstrong partnerships,influencework partners both business and finance.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Knowledge of SAP and BPC.
• Experience leading a diverse team.
