Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Electromechanical Technician Lead to oversee and coordinate the assembly/manufacturing, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic laboratory equipment within our manufacturing facility. This role is vital in ensuring the optimal performance, safety, and reliability of complex electrical and mechanical systems. As a leader in the team, you will drive continuous improvement initiatives, mentor technicians, and collaborate closely with engineering and operations to uphold high standards of equipment uptime and safety compliance. Your expertise will help maintain a productive environment where innovation and efficiency thrive.

Responsibilities

1.1. Responsible for installing and repairing wiring, electrical fixtures and control equipment, as well as supervising and training electrician assistants on the job.

1.2. Electrical wiring of machines

1.3. Mechanical assembly of machines.

1.4. Creating electrical and pneumatic schematics.

1.5. Install, maintain, modify and repair all electrical systems and associated electrical equipment, pumps, motors and others.

1.6. Equipment maintenance.

1.7. Recording and reporting the results of verification activities.

1.8. Participate in QMS audits and timely response to assignments from the audit.

1.9. Follow all company policies and procedures to ensure product integrity and quality control.

1.10. Utilize blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturer’s installation manuals to complete assigned projects.

1.11. Survey electrical systems, circuits and plans.

1.12. Complete work orders and record material utilized on jobs.

1.13. Place PO requisitions.

1.14. Packaging responsibilities to ensure proper packaging, boxing and shipment preparation.

1.15. Maintain a clean and safe work area and update supplies as needed.

1.16. Maintain Production reports

1.17. Keep track of production activities

1.18. Lead and coach Electrical Engineering Technicians assigned to his team

1.19. Other duties as assigned by a supervisor.

Requirements

1. QUALIFICATIONS

1.1. EDUCATION

1.1.1. High school diploma or equivalent, Technical/associates degree preferred

1.2. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

1.2.1. 5 years experience assembling, servicing, and/or installing electrical, mechanical and electromechanical equipment in a regulated environment.

2. LANGUAGE and SKILLS

2.1. Speak, Read and understand English

2.2. Demonstrable knowledge and skills for electrical installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and equipment

2.3. Ability to collaborate with other departments to ensure understanding of project specifications and business needs.

2.4. Capable of applying knowledge to troubleshoot and propose solutions for electronics-related issues.

2.5. Strong interpersonal communication skills

3. PHYSICAL DEMANDS

3.1. Frequently required to sit

3.2. Occasionally required to move about

3.3. Excellent hand-eye coordination

3.4. Capable of lifting and carrying a minimum of 50 pounds without assistance.
