About The Role
We are seeking a Lead AI Engineer with a proven track record of designing sophisticated AI systems and the leadership maturity to guide a high-performing technical team. In this role, you will sit at the intersection of architectural design, hands-on development, and strategic mentorship.
Core Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership: Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of scalable AI/ML solutions.
- Team Mentorship: Manage and mentor a team of 2–4 AI engineers, conducting code reviews, providing architectural guidance, and facilitating professional development.
- System Architecture: Oversee the transition from experimental notebooks to production-grade services, ensuring high availability and low latency.
- R&D: Stay at the forefront of AI research, evaluating and prototyping new techniques (e.g., RAG, fine-tuning, quantization) to maintain a competitive edge.
- Experience: 5 years in AI/ML - Software Engineering, with at least 2 years in a formal or informal leadership/lead role.
- Education: Master’s or PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience).
- Programming: Mastery of Python and deep familiarity with frameworks like LangChain.
- Architecture: Experience with vector databases (Pinecone, Milvus) and API design (FastAPI/Flask).
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with Generative AI and LLM orchestration frameworks (LangChain, LlamaIndex).
