Plastic Extrusion Operator Experience Required

Bio-Plastic Solutions, an innovative, family-owned company, is looking for a Plastic Extrusion Shift Supervisor/Operator candidate who has extensive technical experience (5-plus years minimum) with simple to complex plastic profile extrusions. We’re looking for a hands-on expert in the arts of process set-up, process control and correction, process problem-solving, and understanding of electrical controls. Additionally, the Plastic Extrusion Shift Supervisor/Operator candidate will have applicable experience (5 years minimum) with supervisory and leadership skills to handle the responsibilities of employee supervision, training, performance, guidance, and appraisal. The Plastic Extrusion Shift Supervisor/Operator will be responsible for the effective and efficient operation of plastic extrusion production lines and for the coordination of all plant operations during 3rd shift along while following our company’s core values and mission statement (To exceed expectations in quality, innovation and value through continuous improvement and customer interactions. Key Job Responsibilities
*
*

• Assuring quality control operating processes to customer expectations with quality lab
• Assuring proper process documentation and efficiencies during production rungs (particularly for custom extrusion customers) with all supervisors/shifts
• Monitoring and enforcement of safe work practices with all supervisors/shifts
• Training and skill enhancement of Plastic Extrusion Technicians/Operators and General Labor staff with support from Training Group/HR
• Evaluating staff in recommending succession path promotions and conducting disciplinary action where necessary with all supervisors
• Production scheduling support, both staff and extruders connected to non-production manager
• Help in the design of tooling, downstream, and support fixtures/equipment
• Production problem solving and problem-solving training
• Input on the selection of equipment
• Input for customer selection of raw material
• The position has staff on all shifts 24 hours per day for 4.5 days

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $25 - $35 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift [M-Th]
• 8 hour shift [M-F]

Experience:

• Plastic Profile Extrusion: 5 years (Required, more is even better)

Work Location:

• One location

Typical start time:

• 3rd shift - 8PM
• 1st shift - 6AM

Typical end time:

• 3rd Shift - 8AM
• 1st shift - 2PM
