🧪 Sr. Scientist – Potency Assay (Temp-to-Hire)

Pay: $69.75–$79.25/hour (equivalent to $145K–$165K annually)
Schedule: Full-time, onsite
Overview:
BioPhase is seeking a Scientist with experience developing and qualifying target binding and cell-based potency assays for biologics. This is a hands-on role supporting late-stage research and CMC development efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in potency assay design, method qualification, and GMP-readiness.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and qualify target engagement and cell-based potency assays for biologics.
- Support assay transfer to CDMOs for release, stability, and characterization testing.
- Maintain and bank cell lines needed for assay development.
- Identify and manage key reagents and materials.
- Author or review protocols, reports, and qualification documents.
- Review potency data for lot release and stability, assist with investigations and OOS/OOT analysis.
Qualifications:
- MS or PhD in Biology, Biochemistry, or related field.
- 5 years of industry experience in potency assay development.
- Hands-on experience with recombinant and cell-based potency assays.
- Proficiency with PRISM, Softmax Pro, or similar data analysis software.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with CDMOs and regulatory submissions.
- Familiarity with impurity testing (HCP, DNA, Protein A).
Salary : $145,000 - $165,000
