Analytical Chemist
The BRC Analytical Chemist is a qualified and experienced laboratory analyst with a thorough understanding of the operations of an analytical laboratory. Must be familiar and have experience with UPLC, LC-MS, and/or GC-MS. Experience in an analytical services laboratory, quality control laboratory, or GMP laboratory setting is highly desired.
Responsibilities:
- Operation and PM of laboratory analytical instruments
- Performs routine analysis using validated methods
- Participates in development, validation, and/or transfer of new analytical methods
- General laboratory operation, ordering and cleanliness
- Conforms to quality system and relevant SOPs
- Adheres to required controlled substance procedures
- Performs other tasks as required
Required Education, Qualification and Skills:
- Minimum Bachelors of Science in Chemistry or related STEM field
- Experience (3 years) with HPLC/UPLC chromatography and/or gas chromatography is required.
- The ability and eagerness to learn new methods and instrumentation is required.
- Willingness and ability to precisely follow SOPs is required.
- Experience in an analytical services laboratory, quality control laboratory, or GMP laboratory setting is highly desired
- Experience with gas chromatography and/or mass spectrometry is desired
- Experience with Empower 3.0 is desired.
- Experience with botanical extraction, purification and/or analysis is desired.

- Must pass a background check
