The VISN 02 Clinical Resource Hub (CRH) Health System Specialist (HSS) supports the VISN 2 CRH under the guidance of Veteran Health Administration (VHA) which provides health care services to Veteran patients across the continuum of care in both institutional and non-institutional settings. The HSS also supports the location from which care is delivered including but not limited to VA Clinical locations and provider alternate worksites.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS11 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS09 and GS12 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS11. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Physical Requirements: No special physical demands such as above average ability, dexterity, or strength are required to perform the work. There may be some walking, standing, bending, carrying of light items, driving of an automobile, etc. Fieldwork may involve travel for training activities, attendance at meeting and conferences, and equipment maintenance, installation, and solutions.
In general, this position requires visual acuity, keen hearing, clear distinctive speech, and manual dexterity. This position requires periods of continued walking, standing, stooping, sitting, bending, pulling and pushing. Transferring objects may be required. The incumbent may be exposed to infected patients and contaminated materials and may be required to don protective clothing in isolation situations. The incumbent may occasionally be exposed to patients/residents who are combative secondary to delirium, dementia, or psychiatric disorders. The incumbent must be mature, flexible, sensible individual capable of working effectively in stressful situations, able to shift priorities based on stakeholder needs.

- Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL.M., if related
