We are looking for an experienced Medical Biller for our physical therapy practice. Your position here at BioMechanic is on-site, full time, 32 - 40 hours per week. You will communicate with in house staff, patients, insurance companies, lawyers, and workmen's compensation managers. You should be familiar with all aspects of the billing cycle.

The following is a sample of the duties you should have proficiency with;

• Review patient schedule for next day & note any balances or copays due. Print statements for patients with balances for front desk staff to give to patients.
• Make follow-up phone calls, print & mail patient billing statements weekly. Go through statement folder, disposing of any statements for balances paid.
• Complete medical records requests as needed.
• Handle any claims issues or denials.
• Handle any billing questions from patients, front desk or clinical staff.
• Submt electronic claims. Copy progress note & submit HCFA forms for any paper claim submissions.
• Complete insurance verification forms for in & out of network patients. Print & attach benefit information. Call out of network patients & complete pre-authorizations as needed.
