Location: It is anticipated that an incumbent in this role will work remote in the state of New York. Work location subject to change based on business needs. Job Description: The Director of Nursing coordinates provision of home health services to maintain compliance by directing professional practices, company policies and procedures, standards of practice, local, state and federal rules and regulations, and URAC/ACHC standards. The DON organizes, plans, implements, and evaluates agency services, programs and activities, with oversight of subcontracted services. Ensures adequate, effective, efficient, and appropriate delivery of services to maintain quality day to day care for all clients.
The primary purpose is to plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operation of the Nursing Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern our facilities, and may be directed by the Medical Director to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
The Director of Nursing Services is an RN who has graduated from an accredited school of nursing and is currently licensed to practice in the State (s), which is currently practicing. She/he supervises home health services to homebound patients in their place of residence in accordance with attending physician's orders and plans of care and strives to provide the highest quality of care. |
