Starting At $22.00 Per Hour & May Increase Based Upon Experience
Schedule
It is anticipated that an incumbent in this role will work forty (40) hours per week during the clinic’s hours of operation: Monday through Friday between 8:30am and 5:30pm Alaska Standard Time. Schedule flexibility may occur based on business needs.
Location:
It is anticipated that an incumbent in this role will work on-site at our location in Anchorage, AK. Work location subject to change based on business needs.

This position is responsible for assisting with patient intake, preparing treatment areas, coordinating patient flow, and ensuring overall efficiency within the infusion center. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and dedicated to providing outstanding patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Qualification Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a healthcare environment required
- Strong understanding of medical procedures, patient care, and documentation
- Excellent time management, communication, interpersonal communication, organizational and analytical skills
- Skills with prioritization and multi-tasking
- Proficiency with problem resolution
- Self-motivated and self-disciplined
- Computer aptitude
- Mathematical aptitude
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality and uphold all patient care principles
- Remain adaptable and willing to assist in different areas of the infusion center as needed
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant (MA) program preferred
- Current Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred
- Prior professional Medical Assistant experience preferred
- Prior infusion environment experience preferred
- Greet and prepare patients for their infusion treatments, ensuring a welcoming and professional environment.
- Obtain and document patient vital signs, medical history, and medication information.
- Assist providers with patient examinations and procedures as needed.
- Prepare infusion suites by ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are available.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
- Educate patients on procedures, answering basic questions under the supervision of a nurse or provider.
- Assist with administrative tasks, including scheduling appointments, verifying insurance forms, and managing patient follow-ups.
- Monitor and restock medical supplies, ensuring proper inventory levels.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant clinical environment, following infection control protocols.
- Communicate effectively with nurses, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth patient care coordination.
- Assist with patient triage, directing urgent concerns to the appropriate clinical team members.
- Follow all HIPAA guidelines and maintain strict confidentiality regarding patient information.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with best practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Site Nurse Practitioner or Director of Clinical Operations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-first approach.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and data entry.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
