The position will help create an exceptional user experience across all of our data products. This position will work at the intersection of design, research, technology, and business to define future-forward experiences that meet both user needs and business goals. Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Lead the design of complex user journeys across the data team’s portfolio of products.
- Own the end-to-end user experience across the data team’s portfolio of products.
- Champion a user-centered design process, leveraging research insights, data, and empathy to inform decisions.
- Become an expert on our users and their workflows.
- Create experience prototypes and visual storytelling tools to communicate concepts and vision.
- Design high-fidelity mockups, prototypes, and interactive wireframes.
- Design product flows that enable users to efficiently use our products.
- Maintain design systems and component libraries to ensure consistency and quality across all BioMADE’s data products.
- Create and maintain information architecture for all data products.
- Work with product team on user research to understand user needs, workflows, and feedback.
- Facilitate workshops, journey mapping sessions, and ideation sprints to identify pain points and uncover innovation opportunities.
- Benchmark UI/UX practices against competitors and industry leaders.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 7 years (10 preferred) of experience in UI/UX design or related field.
- Bachelors (Master's preferred) in Human Factors, Design Strategy, Behavioral Science, or related discipline.
- Strong portfolio showcasing user-centered. functional designs that drive key business value for the users.
- Expertise in design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe CC) and prototyping tools.
- Previous experience designing and leading the end-to-end user experience for an entire product.
- Previous experience developing, launching, and iterating designs and flows in a highly ambiguous zero to one space.
- Previous experience building efficient user experiences for subject matter experts in complex domains.
- Experience in research methods (e.g., user interviews, usability testing, ethnographic research), customer insight strategy, and design thinking.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design best practices.
- Bioindustrial or biotech background is a plus but not required.
