Shift: (4 X 10) 7:00 am - 5:30 pm Friday - Monday

We are seeking a reliable and professional Security Technician to join our HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) team. In this role, you will help protect our employees, facilities, and assets by maintaining a safe and secure environment. This position is ideal for someone who is observant, calm under pressure, and committed to providing excellent service

What You’ll Do

• Conduct routine internal and external patrols of buildings and grounds
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for restricted areas
• Identify and report suspicious activity or security concerns
• Respond promptly to emergencies and assist employees and visitors
• De-escalate situations and ensure a safe environment
• Complete detailed shift reports and maintain accurate logs
• Escort employees to vehicles upon request
• Support HSE and Facilities teams with various tasks
• Assist with site needs such as walkway clearing during inclement weather

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• 0 years of security or related experience, 2 years preferred
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to obtain:
• Unarmed Security Guard certification (within 3 months of hire)
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification (within 3 months of hire)
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in corporate or facility security
  
  

Working Conditions

• Ability to stand or walk for extended periods
• Work indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions
• Ability to lift up to 40–50 lbs
• Ability to climb stairs and walk on uneven surfaces
• May be required to work across multiple locations in the Salt Lake Valley

The estimated hourly range for this role based in Utah is between $18.00 – $27.00. This role is eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and individual performance per bioMerieux’s bonus program. This range may differ from ranges offered for similar positions elsewhere in the country given differences in cost of living. Actual compensation within this range is determined based on the successful candidate’s experience and will be presented in writing at the time of the offer.
