Primary Duties
- Assists in the definition, proof of concept, design, development, implementation and/or support of technical or business solutions by performing specific research activities or developments within the scope of the assigned activity.
- Assumes responsibility for the identification of errors and related problem solving in order to identify the necessary activities to provide a solution.
- Develops all deliverables following all design and development processes for design control and good scientific practices to ensure scientific relevance.
- Creates appropriate documentation of assigned activities and prepares summaries and/or other relevant reports within the function.
- Defines priorities within the scope of the assigned activities to ensure timeliness and quality of project(s) the level involved in.
- Provides assistance for the scope of assigned activities to ensure milestones are met.
- Provides technical support to the organization in new functional approaches, methods, and tools.
- Provides support to Verification activities.
- Actively participates in Design Transfer processes.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Performs all work in compliance with company quality procedures and standards.
Required Education, Training, and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
- 2 years of professional experience in designing mechanical systems, equipment, and/or components.
- Experience designing mechanical components and/or systems for new product development.
- Experience designing parts that use common manufacturing methods and materials, such as injection-molded plastic, machining, and sheet metal.
- Design in accordance with ASME Y14.5.
- Design for Manufacturability.
- PDM systems (Windchill preferred).

- Mechanical CAD for 3D Modeling and Drawings (SolidWorks preferred).
- Dimensioning Standards (ASME Y14.5 preferred).
- Experience mechanical engineering and prototype design.
- Ability to remain in stationary position, either sitting or standing, for prolonged periods — Yes
- Ability to move about within the workspace to access equipment, files, etc. — Yes
- Ability to operate computer and other office equipment — Yes
- Ability to communicate with others accurately and effectively — Yes
- Travel required: 0% (Domestic and International)

Salary : $82,000 - $115,000
