Essential Job Functions
- Coordinate and oversee shipments of goods to international destinations.
- Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and documentation requirements.
- Communicate with carriers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers to arrange shipments.
- Prepare shipping documents such as commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin.
- Track shipments and provide updates to internal teams and customers as needed.
- Resolve issues related to shipping delays, customs clearance, and transportation logistics.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments, inventory, and transportation logistics.
- Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to address shipping inquiries and issues.
- Evaluate shipping methods and costs to find the most efficient and cost-effective solutions.
- Proven experience as a Shipping Associate or similar role with a focus on international shipping.
- Knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.
- Familiarity with shipping software and tracking systems (e.g., FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc.).
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in preparing shipping documentation.
- Effective communication skills to interact with carriers, customs brokers, and internal teams.
- Problem-solving skills to resolve shipping-related issues and optimize logistics.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel) and experience with ERP or inventory management systems is a plus.
