What are the responsibilities and job description for the Biostatistician position at BioLink 360?
We are seeking a talented Biostatistician to join a prominent consulting organization at the forefront of life sciences market access. In this role, you will be leading the design and execution of sophisticated statistical analyses grounded in causal inference and taking full ownership of statistical analysis plans from initial scoping through final delivery. You will translate complex data into compelling scientific narratives, contributing to study reports, protocols, and proposals, while serving as a go-to methodological expert for multidisciplinary teams tackling the most demanding analytical questions in the field.
You will be known for delivering precise, high-quality results on time, and for building robust, reproducible analysis pipelines that stand up to the most rigorous scrutiny. This position will be more than an analytical role, the person hired will be a trusted partner to clients, turning complex evidence into actionable insights that drive high-stakes decisions.
As part of a high-performing analytics and health economics team, you will help shape the standard of evidence-based research that underpins market access decisions across the life sciences sector. This opportunity is ideal for someone who moves fluently between granular analytical work and big-picture strategic thinking. If you are energized by the intersection of data science, healthcare strategy, and real-world patient outcomes, we encourage you to apply.
Duties include:
- Design, execute, and document rigorous statistical analyses across observational studies and clinical trials, applying advanced causal inference methods to generate credible, decision-grade evidence.
- Develop statistical analysis plans (SAPs) of varying complexity, translating scientific objectives into analytically sound, executable strategies aligned with client requirements.
- Proactively identify, evaluate, and integrate emerging statistical methods and best practices to keep pace with the evolving demands of life sciences research and market access evidence generation.
- Author clear, precise statistical sections of study reports, research protocols, and client proposals that effectively communicate methodology and findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Serve as a statistical and methodological authority for cross-functional project teams, providing expert guidance that shapes study design, analytical approach, and interpretation of results.
- Develop and maintain advanced SAS programming workflows to support efficient, reproducible analysis pipelines across client engagements; proficiency in R or Python is a valued complement to core programming capabilities.
- Establish and enforce rigorous quality control processes to ensure all statistical analyses and programming outputs meet the highest standards of accuracy, reproducibility, and timeliness.
Required Qualifications:
- Ph.D. or M.S. in Biostatistics, Statistics, Epidemiology, or related field and 1-15 years of experience in biostatistics/quantitative disciplines within the life science industry
- Strong experience with RWD/RWE analytics (EHR, claims, registries, HEOR)
- Demonstrated programming skills in SAS (required), R (optional) or Python (optional), including experience developing reproducible analysis pipelines.
- Demonstrated experience with causal inference methods (e.g., propensity score methods, weighting, IPTW, etc.)
