Mission

The Dispatcher ensures every technician’s day is strategically planned for maximum productivity and on-time service delivery while serving as a key point of communication for staff and customers as it relates to services. This role bridges operations, customer service, and sales. Transforming client needs and commitments into efficient, well-sequenced routes that balance workload, geography, and service quality.

About the Role

bioLawn is looking for a highly organized, analytical, and calm-under-pressure individual to lead daily routing and dispatching operations. You will ensure our technicians are set up for success each day while keeping customers informed and internal teams aligned.

This role requires strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, seasonal business environment.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Routing & Scheduling

  • Build, review, and dispatch daily technician routes.
  • Optimize sequencing to maximize efficiency, reduce windshield time, and ensure coverage.
  • Monitor progress and adjust routes as needed due to weather, traffic, or client changes.

Customer Notifications & Communication

  • Complete all service notifications and call-aheads by 12:00 PM daily.
  • Proactively communicate schedule changes, technician ETA updates, and service expectations.
  • Coordinate route/service questions between CSRs, technicians, and customers.

Operational Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track technician utilization, completion rates, and service counts.
  • Review and resolve unserviced or delayed stops to protect client satisfaction and revenue.
  • Maintain < 5-day response times for service calls and new customers.

Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with CSRs, sales, and operations to keep everyone aligned.
  • Support CSRs during off-season periods
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives to refine routing methods and efficiency.
