What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cell Operator - 2nd Shift position at BioHorizons?
*********************************************** This position works Monday - Thursday from 3pm - 1:30am *****************************************
The Cell Operator is responsible for all scheduled parts assigned to them to be completed per the drawing(s) and by the scheduled due date in all cells. Responsible to machine acceptable production parts utilizing production equipment per drawing, DHR, and any other ancillary written instructions in cells.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Operate CNC Lathes to machine parts per specifications and tooling instructions applying knowledge of machining methods
- Read blueprints for product specifications, dimensions, and tolerances
- Observe operation of machine and verifies conformance of machined part to specifications, using micrometers, comparator, tool makers, and oasis
- Understand and perform all work instructions
- This position works closely with the CNC Machinist
- Must accurately enter all information requested into MRP/ERP system
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Accurate, detailed oriented and quality conscious
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- May need to stand for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must have 20/20 correctable vision
- Must be able to speak and hear well enough to communicate effectively
