We're looking for a Software Engineer who enjoys solving real-world engineering problems by developing software that controls manufacturing equipment, collects process data, and helps improve production performance.
This is an opportunity to work alongside experienced software and manufacturing engineers while helping modernize our automation systems by migrating legacy LabVIEW applications to C#.
Position Summary
As a Software Engineer, you'll support the development, maintenance, and modernization of software used to control custom extrusion equipment and manufacturing processes. Working closely with our Senior Software Engineer, you'll participate in converting existing LabVIEW applications to C#, developing new industrial software solutions, and supporting the operation of automated manufacturing equipment.
This position is ideal for someone with experience in industrial automation, machine control, or manufacturing software who enjoys working with both software and hardware.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain C# applications used to control manufacturing equipment and production processes.
- Assist with migrating existing LabVIEW applications to modern C# software.
- Develop software for data acquisition, process monitoring, machine control, and operator interfaces.
- Interface with motion control systems, analog and digital I/O, sensors, and industrial hardware.
- Troubleshoot software and hardware issues on manufacturing equipment.
- Support software validation, testing, debugging, and documentation.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and maintenance teams to improve equipment performance and reliability.
- Participate in the design and implementation of new automation projects.
- Learn and support existing proprietary software systems while contributing to future enhancements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Two or more years of professional software development experience.
- Experience programming in C#.
- Experience developing software for industrial automation, manufacturing equipment, machine control, or data acquisition systems.
- Experience troubleshooting software in a production or industrial environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary engineering team.

Experience with one or more of the following:
