Stainless Steel Polisher (1st Shift)

Bio Fab Technologies is a custom stainless-steel fabricator that manufactures equipment for the Food and Pharmaceutical industries and with our continued growth we are looking to add an impact player to our team as a Polisher.
The polisher discolors and polishes various stainless steel parts including frames, manifolds, adapters, and spools.

Job Responsibilities: 

• Improvement of surface finish and correction of any material defects on stainless steel material. 

• Operates equipment in accordance with specifications.  Equipment may include pneumatic and electric hand grinders, pedestal grinders and buffers. 

• Maintains tools and machinery as needed. 

• Performs with high attention to detail and produces high-quality parts. 

• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations, including the use of PPE. 

• Assures parts are clean and placed in their respective areas for the next manufacturing process. 

• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area at all times. 

• Other duties as assigned. 

Required Skills & Abilities: 

• Ability to interpret and translate engineering designs and documentations (work orders, drawings and specifications). 

• Ability to follow work instructions and work well in a team. 

• Understanding of and the ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations. 

Education & Experience: 

• HS Diploma or equivalent 

• 2-5 years of polishing stainless-steel materials preferred 

Physical Requirements:  

• Must be able to lift parts up to 50 lbs. 

• Must be able to stand for prolonged time periods. 

• Exposure to dust, odors, oil, fumes, noise, and different climate temperatures. 

• Visual acuity to read instructions, operate machines, and inspect parts produced.
