```Duties```
- Prepare tissue samples for microscopic examination by a pathologist
- Embed tissue specimens in paraffin wax and cut them into thin sections
- Stain tissue sections with dyes to enhance visibility under a microscope
- Mount stained tissue sections onto glass slides for examination
- Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment and supplies
- Keep accurate records of specimens and tests performed
```Qualifications```
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree in histology or related field preferred
- Previous experience working in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting is highly desirable
- Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory procedures
- Familiarity with anatomy, physiology, and histology principles
- Proficient in using laboratory equipment and instruments
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
