Join Bio-Rad as a Production Chemist II and work in our Portland, Maine, WA site! Working in this Manufacrturing role, you will be responsible for making product per SOP, trouble shooting manufacturing issues, performing protein purification, chromatography, cell culture and making buffers and media.

Compensation: The estimated annual salary for this position is $60,700 to $83,500 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.

How You'll Make An Impact
- Assignments and projects are diversified. Using your ability to multi-task you will work independently and train on procedures for manufacturing processes.
- Bachelor’s degree in a life science related field. Chemistry/bio chemistry/bio medical engineering field or similar major preferred.
- 4-7 years working in a general manufacturing environment formulating products in the areas of biological sciences, life sciences, or an equivalent. Work Experience that includes 2 years in the field, particularly experience in protein purification and chromatography is preferred.
- Experience working in a GMP manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience in handling hazardous chemicals and/or biological hazardous materials.
- Able to follow detailed procedures and have good documentation skills.
