Duties
- Operate various machinery and equipment used in food processing and packaging, adhering to safety protocols and operational guidelines
- Assist in the preparation, assembly, and packaging of food products while following strict hygiene and sanitation standards
- Monitor production lines to ensure consistent product quality and identify any issues or deviations from specifications
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas by performing sanitation duties regularly, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations such as HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point)
- Follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and FDA (Food and Drug Administration) regulations to uphold food safety standards throughout the production process
- Conduct basic math calculations for measurements, weights, and quantities during production tasks
- Operate forklifts or other material handling equipment safely when required for inventory movement or storage purposes
Qualifications
- Prior experience in food production, manufacturing, or a related food processing environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Knowledge of FDA regulations, HACCP principles, CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices), and sanitation procedures is highly desirable
- Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with manufacturing equipment is a plus
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for measurements and calculations involved in food processing tasks
- Valid forklift certification or experience operating forklifts safely is advantageous
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on food safety and quality standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and work in a fast-paced environment
