What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Associate position at Bio-Botanica Inc.?
Under the direction of the Warehouse Pick/Pack Supervisor, the Warehouse Packer is responsible for packing our customers outbound orders. Warehouse Packing Operator is responsible to check, pack and label for our customers outbound orders to ensure damage free deliveries. Warehouse Packer must be able to push, lift, stack or move products/materials by performing the following duties. They are also responsible for adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) that are in effect assuring the quality and safety of the product produced.
Job Descriptions/Responsibilities:
- Reads pick sheets to determine items and quantities to be checked and packed for outbound deliveries.
- Chooses proper cartons and packing material to ensure safe damage free delivery of customers’ orders.
- Operates UPS shipping computer and has knowledge of UPS WorldShip program.
- Capable of cleaning and maintenance of warehouse areas, forklifts and powered material handler.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with company policies and procedures and maintains regular work attendance.
- Follows SOPs, cGMP, Safety Rules, and Food Safety practices.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in manufacturing/packaging/warehouse/distribution of food / dietary supplements preferred.
- Training certification related to cGMP, HACCP, ISO, Food Safety is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Must be able to communicate in English (verbal & written).
- Ability to produce high-quality documentation of work.
- Physical ability to lift at least 50 lbs. Ability to lift, bend, stand and walk repeatedly within a manufacturing, packaging, and warehouse environment.
