Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team to care for high functioning DDA clients with various intellectual and mental health needs.
You must have a current WA HCA or NAC professional license, nurse delegation, CPR/First Aid. Specialty trainings are required upon hire.
As a Caregiver, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients by providing support and assistance with activities of daily living while managing client schedules and appointments.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and assistance to clients, including stand by assist with bathing, dressing, grooming.
- Monitor clients health and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate parties.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to medication schedules.
- Phone and fax correspondences, documentation charting
- Assist with telehealth appointments
- Household errands such as grocery shopping, pharmacy pickup, home supplies
- Engage clients in social activities and provide companionship to enhance emotional well-being. Assist in planning community outings.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients. Housekeeping, and laundry services daily.
- Prepare 3 meals per day and snacks. Serve at regular meal times and upon client request.
- Assist clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety at all times.
Experience
- Previous experience in a group home is preferred.
- Familiarity with patient monitoring and recognizing change in behaviors/condition
- Exemplary time management skills
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively without another staff person present.
- A compassionate nature and a genuine desire to help others are critical for success in this role.
- Proficiency in English with strong, oral and written communication skills
This position is a Full-time Live-in position with a fixed salary of $225/day with Sunday/Monday//Tuesday off from 7a-7p weekly with last week of the month days off to include overnights for a full 72 hour relief from duties.
