The Office of Entrepreneurship & Innovation Partnerships is looking for a driven and creative Binghamton University student to join our team as an Undergraduate Program Intern from January-December 2026
(20 hrs/week).
If you’re passionate about entrepreneurship, student engagement, and building a stronger innovation ecosystem in the Southern Tier-this role is for you.
The Innovation Program Assistant will support key initiatives across NENY SSE and Entrepreneurial Programs, helping us engage students, partner with companies, and expand our reach in the regional startup community.
You’ll collaborate closely with program staff and interns to elevate communications, recruitment, professional development, and our new A La Carte Internship Pilot.
Communications & Engagement
• Create monthly student listserv newsletters
• Draft updates for 50 participating companies
• Design and schedule content for our Instagram
Company Engagement
• Maintain communication with our company partners
• Schedule check-ins and follow-ups
• Support coordination of internship projects
Student Professional Development
• Coordinate resume and skills office hours
• Help plan PD workshops
• Support one-on-one coaching sessions
Community Outreach & Recruitment
• Attend local networking events
• Engage student orgs to expand participation
• Support recruitment of mentors & host companies
A La Carte Internship Pilot Support
• Assist with matching, tracking, and outreach
• Provide admin and reporting support during the pilot launch
✔ Current Binghamton University undergraduate
✔ Strong communicator (written & verbal)
✔ Organized, detail-focused, and proactive
✔ Interest in entrepreneurship, innovation, or workforce development
✔ Experience in social media content creation
✔ Bonus: experience with events, programs, or community engagement
• Hands-on introduction to project management and student engagement
• Relationship-building with startups, faculty, and ecosystem partners
• Project coordination, outreach, and communication skills
• A chance to contribute to new pilot initiatives and program strategy
• This is a paid internship.
