Foundry Manufacturing Technicians (Casting, Core, and Finishing)

Bingham & Taylor is expanding our second shift at our Culpeper, VA foundry, and we’re adding skilled teammates across several production roles. If you like hands-on work, precision, and the satisfaction of seeing a finished casting roll off the line, this is a place to grow.

A day on the floor

At 4:00 PM, you clock in and join a quick safety huddle. You’ll rotate with a tight-knit crew, each role playing a critical part in the casting process:

• Mold Operator – Set up and run molding equipment, verify dimensions, and keep molds within spec for quality castings.
• Pour Deck Operator – Control the pour of molten metal into prepared molds with a focus on accuracy, timing, and safety.
• Core Room Operator – Produce precise sand cores that form internal passages; check integrity and fit before release to molding.
• Grinder Operator (Cleaning Room) – Remove gates, risers, and surface imperfections; finish castings to standard prior to downstream processing.
• Team Leads – Provide leadership and support for third-shift production teams, driving throughput, quality, and safety.
  
  

By 4:00 AM, you’ve helped move quality parts through the foundry, supported your teammates, and contributed to a process refined over 175 years.

Schedule & pay

• Shift: Monday–Thursday, 4:00 PM – 4:00 AM
• Starting Pay: $17.50/hour (plus shift differential)
