Role Description
This is a volunteer on-site Pharmacist role located in Orem, UT. The Pharmacist will be responsible for preparing and dispensing medications, ensuring compliance with all regulations and protocols, counseling patients on prescription usage, and providing guidance on over-the-counter medications. Key responsibilities include verifying prescriptions, collaborating with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care, managing inventory, and ensuring accurate record-keeping to maintain quality assurance.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy practices, including pharmaceutical calculations, medication safety, and drug interactions
- Experience in patient counseling, prescription verification, and providing drug usage guidance
- Proficiency in pharmaceutical technology systems and maintaining detailed inventory records
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
- Valid pharmacist license in Utah
- Familiarity with state and federal pharmacy regulations
- Strong problem-solving abilities and commitment to patient safet
