Responsibilities

• Prepare and assemble meals according to established menus, recipes, and dietary guidelines, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Assist with menu planning by contributing ideas that meet nutritional standards and customer preferences.
• Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to safety regulations.
• Support food preparation activities including chopping, cooking, plating, and portioning to ensure timely meal service.
• Serve meals to residents or customers with professionalism and courtesy, ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness by sanitizing work surfaces, utensils, and equipment regularly.
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate food service operations efficiently during busy periods.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable.
• Strong background in food industry roles such as restaurant or catering service, with demonstrated culinary skills.
• Knowledge of menu planning, meal preparation, and food safety standards is essential.
• Proficiency in food handling techniques, knife skills, and cooking methods required for diverse meal types.
• Experience with food service operations including serving customers or residents in a hospitality or healthcare setting.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
