Duties
- Engage with customers to understand their style preferences, lifestyle needs, and fashion goals, providing tailored recommendations that boost confidence and satisfaction
- Curate and showcase current fashion collections using visual merchandising techniques that highlight key trends and seasonal themes
- Assist clients in selecting apparel, accessories, and styling options that complement their individual features and personal brand
- Utilize industry-standard design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop and Illustrator) and CAD to create mood boards, design concepts, or visual displays
- Support the product lifecycle management process by coordinating with vendors and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of new merchandise
- Conduct garment construction assessments to advise on fit, fabric choices, and styling details for custom or altered pieces
- Stay informed about the latest fashion retail trends, styling techniques, color theory principles, and merchandising strategies to provide expert guidance
Experience
- Proven experience in fashion retail or styling roles with a strong portfolio demonstrating fashion design, illustration, or graphic design skills
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite applications such as Photoshop and Illustrator for creating visual presentations or promotional content
- Knowledge of garment construction techniques and sewing machine operation to assist with alterations or customizations
- Understanding of product lifecycle management processes within the fashion industry to coordinate collections from concept to sale
- Ability to perform fashion styling that aligns with current trends while maintaining individual client preferences
- Experience using CAD software for designing or illustrating apparel concepts is highly desirable
- Strong grasp of color theory principles to develop cohesive looks and visual displays
