A leading international law firm is seeking a Conflicts Attorney to join its Risk Management team in Washington, DC. This is a great opportunity for an experienced legal professional to play a key role in conflicts analysis, business intake, and firm-wide risk management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide legal analysis and guidance on new business intake, lateral hire conflicts, RFPs, Outside Counsel Guidelines (OCGs), and ethical screens
• Review and resolve complex conflicts matters while advising attorneys and firm stakeholders
• Support conflicts clearance processes and ensure compliance with firm policies and ethical requirements
• Oversee complex conflict reviews, waiver processes, and screening procedures
• Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to conflicts team members
• Partner with attorneys, business teams, and leadership on risk-related matters
Qualifications:
• J.D. required with active DC or Ohio Bar membership (or waiver eligibility)
• 3 years of law firm conflicts, legal research, or related experience
• Experience handling conflicts clearance, new business intake, and ethical screens
• Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills
• Large law firm or international law firm experience preferred
• Experience with conflicts databases such as Intapp and legal research tools is a plus
Salary : $140,000 - $200,000
