Machine Operator

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Machine Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to efficiently move, load, and unload products within our distribution center. This role requires attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and the ability to work collaboratively with warehouse supervisors and team members.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Machine to move chemical material, supplies or equipment around a job site or warehouse space.
• Load and unload trucks and large containers.
• Follow safety procedures and protocols so items are transported safely, avoiding damage.
• Inspect the other machinery to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Perform basic maintenance on forklifts, like checking fluid levels, topping off fluids.
• Identifying potential or active workplace safety hazards to protect self and coworkers.
• Adhere to OSHA safety regulations and company policies at all times while performing duties.
• Engage in heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Machine Operator or in a similar role within a job site or warehouse environment.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations related to forklift operation and workplace safety.
• Ability to operate other heavy machinery is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) consistently throughout the shift.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
