Overview
We are seeking a reliable dumpster delivery driver to join our team. The driver would be responsible for pick up and deliveries of 4-yard to 20-yard roll-off dumpsters for residential and commercial projects.
Our ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2 years heavy duty vehicle driving experience in commercial driving, be skilled in operating various types of heavy duty vehicles as well as experience operating heavy equipment with hydraulics.
Applicants must have a DOT Health Card.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years professional driving experience
- Professional attitude and appearance a must
- Experience operating heavy equipment
- Valid driver’s license
- Good driving record with no traffic violations
- Must have good understanding of local area and neighborhoods
- Perform minor preventative maintenance
- Superior customer service. Experience in the construction industry is an asset.
- Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate a delivery vehicle
- Dexterity and the ability to climb and move freely in, on or around vehicles and dumpsters
- Complete logs and reports
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
- Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks, and be open to constant change
- Follow routes and time schedule
- Follow DOT regulations and safety standards
- Must be flexible with time and open to being on-call at all times
- Own reliable transportation is a must
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Applicants must be open to working overtime in high season (Spring/Summer) based on workload winter hours may vary.
Applicants will be required to pass a background check.
Applicants will be required to drive safely, obey the traffic laws and respect the rights of other drivers on the road.
Salary based on experience and other criteria.
Experience
- Previous experience as a heavy duty vehicle driver or in a similar role
- Ability to operate heavy equipment in a variety of weather and traffic conditions
- Expierence in the construction industry is an asset.
